Plenty of finished soldiers; Wraiths, Revenants, Skeletons and Necromancers.

Our end of season cliff hanger for Stargate in the books and we left the team stuck on a Wraith ship installing the Nuke while Atlantis comes under air and ground assault.
Next week it's The Return of The Son of The Mummy. Monster silliness before we begin Addam's Carrion Crown.

Everyones second to fourth favourite time machine chassis is returning from the dead, and this sucker's electrical.
Due to go into production by 2013, just in time for Doc Brown's 80's model to not look out of place when it arrives in the far future of 2015.
Still no sign of the Mr Fusion and no word on it's flying capabilities. :-}=
Star Trek Phase II

Just to get people in the mood for what looks to be a year of Trek in 2012. With ACTA Star Fleet and Traveller: Prime Directive coming soon. And with Harvey feeling inspired to crack out the old Star Trek RPG. A fan made continuation of Star Trek TOS, Star Trek Phase II.
Formerly know as Star Trek New Voyages, Phase II is a free to download series created in the image of TOS, with original cast members from TOS and TNG dropping in here and there.
It's full of classic Trek awesomeness and is perfect material to set the tone for Traveller Prime Directive and ACTA Star Fleet.
FSF Campaign on Secure/Restricted Boot

Another important campaign over at the Free Software Foundation, a new security feature that Microsoft are pushing for PCs marked as Windows 8 compatible could lock you out from installing any alternative OS.
Alternatives including GNU/Linux distros like Debian, Slackware or Ubuntu and really really alternative OS choices like Haiku, ReactOS and FreeDOS. All projects I have a special love for.
Implemented correctly this doesn't have to screw people over, so the FSF are rallying people to raise awareness of the issue and make the community voice heard by the hardware manufacturers.

Kings of War Undead Progress: Some Paint

A little progress, five painted Skeletons and the Army Standard.
I'm happy with the colour scheme so I'm going to push on and get the rest painted up. I have ten more Skellies and one Catapult undercoated, so they are next. The plan is to get some more spray and get others undercoated next week.
The Army Standard is an individual, which makes him my first completed unit. I'll call that progress. :)

More New Dalek Paradigm

The Eternal and two Scientists for the New Dalek Paradigm. I've no idea what The Eternal does, just that there is only ever one at a time and it's function will be really important in a future story.
I've another eight Daleks to finish, two Strategists and six Drones. This will give me 20 Daleks for the New Dalek Paradigm, should be enough for our games.

No Dark*Matter Tuesday

Ian won't get a chance to put a game together for the late slot this Tuesday, so Dark*Matter is going to be off for one week.
In it's place is going to be something miniatures based, either a WWII raid or some hardcore Dalek on Dalek action.

Halloween is fast approaching and so with it comes the start of Carrion Crown, the spooky adventure path for Pathfinder to be GM'ed by Addam.
Meanwhile on Atlantis things are looking grim for the Tau'ri Expedition. Food, medical supplies, power and security all stretched too thin. Civil unrest and the constant treat of Wraith attack. All this with only two sessions remaining in the season!
The current plan is for Stargate to run on the 11th and 18th, then another round of Return of The Son of The Mummy on the 25th. With Carrion Crown to begin 1st of November.
Addam is after character background so he can prep the game. If you've not written any then try and get something to him soon. The theme is Hammer/Lovecraftian Horror.
Stargate should return for a new season next year.
Kings of War Undead Progress: Necromancers

Lots going on at the mo, a little progress towards the King of Wraiths, my fantasy undead army.
Some weapon swaps for the Heresy Necromancers, switching out the huge staff for spare swords from the Mantic Skeleton set. To help tie them in to the look of the Mantic stuff.
The Return of The Son of The Mummy: The Loot

Here are the two Loot objects our characters have to collect and the Ritual Altar for The Return of The Son of The Mummy.
Here we have The Dagger of Karis and The Casket of Souls. The Dagger is a key that will unlock the Casket and free Karis from his tomb.
And here is the Golden Altar where the ritual must be completed.

Site Code Updates

Updates to Firefox over the year mean that the -moz CSS3 additions are no longer needed, so I can drop them. This means layout code for the site is now just standard CSS3 and displays correctly on all sensible modern browsers.
It shouldn't make any difference to how things look, it's just going to make pages a tiny bit smaller so load a tiny bit faster.

The New Dalek Paradigm

The first batch of Daleks from the New Dalek Paradigm, the new less good looking ones from Victory of the Daleks and onwards. Here we have the white Supreme and two squads each of a blue Strategist and three red Drones.
I still prefer the older design, but these models are cheap from the Doctor Who weekly comic and you can never have too many Daleks.
