Three more cocktail reviews, one an old favourite the Vodka Colin's, along with two new ones we tried last night, the Combined Forces and the Godchild.

Vodka Collins

Shake the Vodka, Sugar and Lime with ice. Strain over ice and top up with soda.

Very bitter and not too fruity, good booze content. Popular with Harvey.

Godchild

Shake with ice, strain over ice.

Soft and creamy like an marzipan milkshake, medium boozy. Fantastic, a White Russian variant.

Vodkatini

Swirl the Vermouth in the glass, add Vodka.

A pure booze super-heavyweight, a subtle flavour added to a triple vodka. Nice to sip over conversation, a bit heavy for session drinking and those of a delicate nature.

Here are the top three new cocktails from our drinking session.

The Machete

Roll the ingredients and pour over ice into a tall glass.

Sharp and Bitter, not very boozy. Fits the name nicely.

One Of Those

Shake the Vodka, Juices and Amaretto, pour over the ice and the slice.

Tastes great, a good early evening drink. Lack of booze power costs points.

Cape Codder

Pour the juice and vodka into a glass filled with Ice, squeeze in half the wedges, decorate with the other half and drink with a straw.

Variant of the One Of Those, more booze but a less satisfying flavour.
