Klingon Ship NamesThu, 01 Dec 2011 14:37:33 GMT
After sitting down with Klingon for the Galactic Traveller and The Klingon Dictionary for an afternoon, my fleet now has ship names. I'll get around to painting them on the bases over the next week or so.
Klingon language tip, change most verbs to nouns using wI', so toj the verb to deceive, becomes tojwI' or Deceiver.
Defiance GamesTue, 29 Nov 2011 11:08:01 GMT
I've now remembered where I saw those nice looking concepts for 28mm scifi troops. It was Defiance Games, who are now taking pre-orders for their first pack of USMC in space, due out mid January. Looks like £20 for 24 models, plus £4 intergalactic postage. Not bad.
Star Fleet ship name registryThu, 24 Nov 2011 11:13:57 GMT
ADB maintain a registry of all ships named in the Star Fleet Universe background and rules. So players can use existing names if they like, or avoid conflicting registrations.
Useful note for Harvey on what to do with that fugly Old Light Cruiser, some were used as Hospital ships, the USS Refuge NCC-948 and the USS Sanctuary NCC-949.
Also who could resist the USS Robert Mugabe NCC-713, USS Yassar Arafat NCC-802, USS Slobodan Milosevic NCC-824. And no one can pass up the chance to blow up the USS Prime Minister Thatcher NCC-855?

The new Trek-ish version of A Call To Arms, the starship combat game from Mongoose and Amarillo is up for sale now.

A couple more newly painted minis
First we have a Cyborg chap from MegaMinis, no idea what I'll use him for.
Then we have a new member of the Medjai, ready for some .45 Adventure games. Miniature from Artizan with a pistol from Warlord Games.
Klingon Bird of Prey group, first ship for my fleetSat, 12 Nov 2011 22:38:37 GMT
First ships painted up for my Klingon fleet, ten B'Rel class Bird of Prey frigates. Once I get the fleet properly organised I'll get ship names painted on the bases in Klingon.
Miniatures from Studio Bergstrom.
Dark*Matter is off for now, replaced by Lead Adventure of the WeekSat, 12 Nov 2011 15:14:59 GMT
Dark*Matter is over for now. So the late slot passes to David's Lead Adventure of the week.
There are plans for more CROM! following on the story from last week. (I've picked up more of the magic item dice so you don't need to skimp on the loot Dave.)
Continuing the Mummy adventures. Possibly taking those characters on globe trotting adventures.
No Dark*Matter again this week, instead CROM!Mon, 07 Nov 2011 19:25:34 GMT
Ian is away still so no Dark*Matter again this week. As a replacement late game David has offered to have a go at running a game of CROM!
CROM! is a miniatures based on adventures of Conan the Barbarian, crusher of enemies, observer of those driven before him and lamenting women enthusast.

First ships arrive for the Klingon fleetWed, 02 Nov 2011 10:31:29 GMT
First ships have arrived, B'Rel class Bird of Prey Frigates. In ACTA:SF or SFB they are Klingon F5 Frigates.
It's going to be after BLAM before I get them sprayed up now. But I'll have painted pictures up as soon as possible.
